I hate performance reviews.
I could have probably just left the About page with that sentence, but it’s not quite enough. I hate em, you hate em, but what are we going to do about them?
In his book, Get Rid of the Performance Review!, Samuel Culbert argues for eliminating the performance review entirely. I think the performance appraisal time can be beneficial, but the way most corporations do it is demeaning to employees, unenjoyable by managers, and void of any truly positive effects on the workforce.
